Meet the Team
Hey there! You are probably here because you’re wondering who’s been captaining the ship at CarLoveDC.
Well, pull up a chair, grab a handful of chex mix and I’ll give you the scoop. CarLoveDC started with 3 passionate gearheads that upon being introduced, quickly realized they shared the same love for bacon and desire to create something useful for the automotive community they loved.
Because they are all camera shy and live predominantly within the shadows of the interwebs, many facets of these 3 personalities remain mysterious – but I’ll tell you what I know:
Rizzle
Rizzle’s true origins remain unknown, yet several rumors persist:
One states that he hails from deep in the Mariana Trench, birthed from of a giant clamshell. Another claims that he was begat by the union of alien DNA, far off in a distant corner of our universe.
But the story most believe, says he was originally brought forth from within the den of an ancient clan of robotic cave bears, and ultimately raised as a car crazy gearhead in Washington DC.
Today Rizzle knows little of his former existence, and despite his challenges to come to grips with the memories of his dark past, forges ahead to provide the freshest car related content for fellow DC Area auto enthusiasts at CarLoveDC.
LadyLove
For the love of cars
A true car enthusiast should; 1) perform basic maintenance and modifications; 2) properly detail his own car; and 3) follow at least one form of motorsport. Well, for the love of cars does none of these things.
Instead he has wasted most of his time dreaming about road cars. How much does a Ferrari 360 weigh? Who supplied GM with stereos in the 80s? What makes Lexus manufacturing techniques so unique? (yes it’s really as boring as that sounds).
Why does he love cars? “Well, I think I have never really gotten over the fact that I can sit down and move my arms and legs a little bit and travel all over the world. It’s a fascinating concept to me.”
Current vehicles include tuner sedan, crazy American super car, antique British motorcycle and a pokey little hybrid.
The conclusion
It was then that once the seed of creating the greatest information portal for the automotive enthusiast in the Mid-Atlantic area was born, the 3 team members locked themselves in the basement of an abandoned tortilla chip factory for 27 days and nights and took part in a blood and bacon filled ritual over which the vision and philosophy for CarLoveDC was forged.
Now – I understand that at this point your head is most likely filled with more questions than answers, but fear not fellow car-freaks: In addition to filling your noggins with every aspect of the goings on in the DC car community and basic-to-intermediate synchronized swimming skills, the team at CarLove is also dedicated to hearing you out, answering questions and crunching over the feedback. After all, at the risk of seeming a bit sentimental, CarLoveDC wouldn’t be anything without you. Your comments, contributions, and participation in the car community is what makes you a very real part of CarLoveDC. This site exists for you.
Here’s to the beginning of a long and beautiful relationship!
